On November 25, 2007...

...we had our Opening Day: we got married! Not quite in the Majors yet, we went only for seven innings, like they do it in Israel. Here is how it went down, more or less.

First inning: In the beginning

Just waking up

Alina making the bouquet

The redheads...

...and the blondes

Ian, Adam, and Kevin

Anna, as always fabulous!

Coffee and bagels for Noel and others

Chad and Tracy

Renata with baby Miranda

Second inning: D'var Torah

As practiced at some Jewish weddings, the groom -- and in this case the bride too -- give their reading of the weekly Torah portion

Third inning: Signing of the ketubah (marriage contract)

In front of everybody...

...recognizing each other as bride and groom...

...and signing the ketubah: Chad, Anya, Adam, Anna, and Rabbi Mike

It's official -- and "Jazz in our hearts"!

Fourth inning: On the way to the park

Richard and Jessica

Fifth inning: In the park under the chuppah (marriage canopy)

The bossy bride gives instructions to the chuppah holders

Al giving his blessing to the bride and groom

Now the ceremony!

First cup of wine

Now, exchanging the rings

Rabbi Mike reading from the ketubah (the Jewish version of "For richer and for poorer...")

Anna and John, the "celebrity" guests

Adam

Emily and Tracy holding the chuppah, and Kevin with the bouquet in the background

Second cup of wine -- to the marriage

Ready to break the glass

He did it!

The kiss
